Gladiolus dalenii ssp.dalenii
A beautiful member of the gladiolus species from South Africa. Elegant not blousy, slightly arching spikes of the most unusual light apricot coloured flowers in early summer. Though rare and seldom seem in the UK it is reasonably hardy and does not need lifting come the autumn provided it is grown in free-draining soil. To flower well it needs a reasonably sunny site.
In 2 litre pots, at least one flowering sized corms and a couple of smaller sized ones.
